D-glucose, also referred to as dextrose monohydrate, is a very important carbohydrate in biology and it is biologically active.

Medicago’s Glucose Reagent is supplied as pre-weighed powder in sealed pouches giving 1000 ml of D(+) glucose 20%. when dissolved in deionized water.

Applications

• Sugar solution routinely used in laboratories
• Use in growth media

Directions for use

Empty one pouch of the glucose reagent in a laboratory flask or beaker placed on a magnetic stirrer. Add 200 ml to 300 ml of deionized water and stir for a few minutes. Adjust the volume up to 1000 ml, stir until full dissolution and the solution is ready to use.

Shipping and storage

The Glucose reagent is shipped at room temperature. Store the pouches in a dry place at room temperature. Shelf life is three years.
